Outcite

AI recommends your competitor, not you.

More and more shoppers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI what to buy. They surface a few stores, and your product page isn't written the way it takes to be one of them. Outcite fixes that: we show why the competitor wins and give you a better product page plus the schema data that gets AI to recommend you. You add it to your page and publish.

AI IS THE NEW STOREFRONT WINDOW

The choice happens before the shopper ever reaches your page.

When a shopper asks AI what to buy, it names a few stores. If you are not one of them, you are not in the decision.

Others monitor. Outcite fixes.

AI-visibility tools

Show you a dashboard: where you rank and who gets mentioned. You get a report.

Nothing changes on your page.

Outcite

Hands you the work: new page copy, the buyer questions with answers, and the schema.org code.

You add it to your page and get cited.

How it works

1

You paste one product's URL.

Outcite reads what you actually sell and derives the buyer queries a customer uses to look for a product like yours from AI.

2

We run those queries through real AI engines.

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI answer the real buyer query and name a few stores. We measure which pages they surface, and where you stand.

3

We break down why the competitor wins.

The exact sentence the AI quotes, how the page is built, and the structured data it pulls. That's the recipe we build a stronger page on top of.

4

You get a stronger product page + schema code.

New page copy, buyer questions with answers, and ready schema.org JSON-LD. All grounded in your own product facts — we invent no numbers or claims.

5

You add the code to your page and publish.

We show the exact steps for your store platform. After that, AI reads your product page the way it reads your competitor's.

EXAMPLE

What one run looks like

A fictional roaster, Kaisla Coffee, product ”dark espresso roast 1kg”. Not a real customer, an illustrative example.

A shopper asks AI

Where do I buy good espresso beans online?

ChatGPT answers: I'd recommend these stores — papuputiikki.fi and roasthouse.fi.
Kaisla is not mentioned.

What your page has

What's missing
  • Origin and roast level
  • Buyer questions and answers
  • Structured data (schema.org)
BEFORE — your page

”Dark espresso roast 1kg. Full-bodied and round. €24.90.” Says nothing about origin, roast level or flavour, and answers none of the buyer's questions.

AFTER — Outcite's version

”Kaisla's dark espresso roast is 100% Brazil Santos, roasted for espresso (roast 5/5). Chocolatey and low-acid, works in milk drinks. 1kg, €24.90.”

HOW WE KNOW

We don't guess — we measure

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews answer product questions by naming a handful of sources. The shopper reads the answer, not a list of results. Outcite runs the real queries in these engines and reads what they actually return.

Google's AI Overviews already answers over 2 billion users a month (Google, 2025). This is not the future — shoppers do it today.

We measured 40 stores: more than half (52%) were not cited by AI for their own product's buyer queries. (Our own measurement.)

From a real store's run. Customer and competitors masked. The actual gaps the run found:

  • · No single quotable definitional sentence — the answer is buried mid-paragraph.
  • · FAQ schema in the code, but no readable question-answer pairs shown on the page.
Proof you can see yourself

When ChatGPT recommends a store, it hands the shopper a direct link and tags it. In real runs we saw competitors' links in this form:

https://[kilpailija].fi/tuote/...?utm_source=openai

In other words, the store got a shopper straight from the AI's answer. That is traffic and sales going to your competitor right now.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS

Outcite is built by Store Operators and its founder, who wrote the 22-chapter book The AI-Run Store on running e-commerce operations with AI. An online course on the topic is coming. The same method sits behind this tool.

How you add the code to your page

You pick your platform at sign-up and get steps for exactly it. One copy-paste, no developer.

WooCommerce
Install a free snippet plugin (e.g. WPCode, free from WordPress.org), create an HTML snippet, paste the code and set it to ”show only on this product's URL”. Don't put <script> in the product description — Woo strips it. (There's a separate plugin if you want the whole catalog automated.)
Shopify
Product template → Custom Liquid block → paste the code. Shows only on this product page.
Wix
Settings → Custom Code → pick only this product page → Head.
Squarespace
The product's Page Header Code Injection → paste the code.
Other / custom
Paste the code into the product page <head> or a custom-HTML block.

FAQ

What do I get from one run?

For one product page: an analysis of who AI cites and why, what your page is missing, new stronger page copy, buyer questions with answers, and ready schema.org JSON-LD.

Does this work on my store platform?

Yes. Outcite is platform-agnostic — WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or anything else. You get steps for adding the code on your exact platform.

How do I add the code, and does it cost extra?

You add it yourself for free. We show the exact steps for your platform — for example a free snippet plugin on WooCommerce. No developer, no extra fee.

Do you invent facts about my product?

No. Everything is grounded in your own page. We add no prices, numbers or claims you didn't provide.

How long does a run take?

About 1–2 minutes. We run the buyer queries through real AI engines and build the page from that.

What if I want the whole catalog?

Outcite is per product. For more, there's a monthly plugin and a concierge service that handle the whole catalog and content for you.

We optimized this page with the same method — this FAQ and its schema.org data included.

Pricing

One well-optimized product page can drive hundreds or thousands in sales. You pay per run.

Need more than a few pages a month? The Store Operators plugin (€99/mo) optimizes your whole store, and concierge does the entire catalog and content for you.
